Making Herbal Cold Process Soap
As an herbal product maker, I use seasonal harvests of herbs and botanicals from my backyard garden as well as sustainably sourced herbs from trusted suppliers, such as Mountain Rose Herbs, and I incorporate them in my blends to create hand-crafted skincare made from nature and inspired by nature.
Sustainability has always played an important part in what and how I do things. I believe in improving our lives with more natural solutions which is why using the simplest rawest forms of ingredients, that can be found in nature, hold a great deal of importance to me and my business.
In the videos below, I share the behind-the-scenes process of how I make my cold-process soap for my shop.
The Tea Garden Soap uses the same oil infusion as well as leftover botanicals from the Everything Salves which ensures that no plant matter goes to waste. This combination of flower-fetti contains garden-grown Lavender, Chamomile, Rose, and Calendula. The soap bar is naturally colored with French pink clay with a scent of end-of-summer season blooms and florals!
The Herb Soap features my garden grown rosemary and peppermint which was a limited edition soap that was sold at my in-person pop-ups. Since so many people have asked about it, my goal is to offer it in my shop next season!
